Vicki Clark, President

Vicki has spent 26 years working in the field of senior housing, relocating from Atlanta in 1982 to head a pioneer program to provide affordable independent housing to seniors in Southern CA. Ten years later, Vicki expanded her knowledge to focus not only on the housing needs of our seniors, but the care they would require as they aged in place. As President of ARV Assisted Living, she was responsible for 34 communities in 11 states and helped take ARV public in 1995.

Ten years ago, Vicki formed her own company, providing property management services to developers serving a much needed segment for marketing rate and low income seniors projects. Seniors can live at a Western Seniors Housing community for as low as $550 per month.

Vicki is also the founding board member of EngAGE (previously known as More Than Shelter for Seniors) — a non profit organization providing life enhancement services to low income seniors.

She sits on the Board of Western Community Housing, and CALA — CA Assisted Living Association, serving as the 2008 Chair. In 2007 she was honored with the SAGE award through 50+ Housing Council, for her lifelong dedication to providing Innovative & affordable housing for CA seniors.

Anthony Sandoval, Chief Operating Officer

Anthony Sandoval currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Western Seniors Housing, Inc. Prior to joining Western Seniors Housing, Inc., Mr. Sandoval served as the Regional Director of Operations for Alterra Healthcare and prior to that served as the former Vice-President Controller and later Vice-President of Operations of ARV Assisted Living, Inc. Mr. Sandoval has been involved in senior housing for over 20 years and has a diverse background in all facets of operations, development, and management.  Mr. Sandoval has served on the Public Policy Commission for the California Assisted Living Association (CALA), has been an active member in the Orange County Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, is currently an Officer and Board Member of the 50+ Housing Council of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, is a Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing (CAASH) through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and currently holds a certificate as an Residential Elderly Administrator through the Department of Social Services.  Mr. Sandoval has a Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University and a Bachelors of Arts from California State University at Fullerton.

Kim Pollack, Regional Vice President

Kim Pollack has been with Western Seniors Housing since its inception. As Regional Vice President, she oversees all operational, financial, and human resource aspects for the Los Angeles County communities in the Company’s portfolio. She provides leadership for the on-site staff, including overseeing recruiting, hiring, Tax Credit Compliance, maintaining the physical aspects of the portfolio and ensuring resident satisfaction. Ms. Pollack started her career in senior housing in 1995, working for the Multi-family Division for ARV Assisted Living, Inc. She later transitioned to their Assisted Living Division, specializing in training and overseeing new developments. She was instrumental in establishing quality assurance programs and creating systems for monitoring customer satisfaction. She is a designated National Compliance Professional (NCP).

Jennifer Jones, Regional Vice President

Jennifer Jones joined Western Seniors Housing, Inc. in 2002, and is Regional Vice President responsible for the portfolio of the Orange County, Inland Empire and the California central coast senior apartment communities.  She has served the needs of seniors in independent apartment housing and assisted living environments since 1988 when she began her career marketing senior congregate care communities for American Retirement Villas.  Ms. Jones held the position of Regional Vice President of Apartment Operations for ARV Assisted Living, Inc., handling both senior and multi-family apartment management.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the University of Southern California.  She has earned certification with the National Association of Home Builders as a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), National Compliance Professional (NCP), and as a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) with the National Apartment Association.

Renza Hoban, Compliance Manager

Renza Hoban (NCP-Exec., SHCM, AHM, TaCCs & CTCAC certifications) has been providing compliance services for Section 42 and HUD properties since 1997. She has joined Western Seniors Housing as the Compliance Manager. With over 10 year’s experience, she has learned that the key to remaining in compliance with all programs is education, beginning with the site-level manager. Renza has been the director and manager of compliance departments with large, well-respected affordable housing developers, owners, and managing agents. She has supervised new-construction lease-ups and acquisition rehabs. Site audits and regular file monitoring along with regular trainings are critical to LIHTC properties and are her primary focus.

Western Seniors Housing currently retains Kimstaff as a Professional Employer Organization (PEO).  Kimstaff assists Western Senior Housing in attracting and retaining quality staff, processing payroll and payroll related paperwork, administering employee benefits, complying with regulations and maintaining a safe workplace.
